North Coast rivers

Oregon's Nestucca River has long been the leader in the winter steelhead fishery. The months of March through early May are the prime time for theses beautiful wild fish to re-enter their home waters. There are four rivers in the area available, with the Nestucca being at the top of the list and in my backyard since 1963.

Join me and experience the winter steelhead fishery bug firsthand. The grab will have you hooked for life. A day on the river consists of wading and swinging flies to entice that grab that will bring you back year after year.

The summer steelhead fishery is also around the corner, the fish will begin to enter the Nestucca around mid-April and peak early June. These fish remain in the system until the fall so the fishery is available as long as the water levels and temperatures remain suitable for angling.
